“Transforming the country, making it more productive and competitive”. This is the assumption of the Brazilian National Competitiveness Plan released by Microsoft in April. And INDT is the one that stands out in the plan’s 2014/2015 edition. The Institute was chosen as one of the exemplary initiatives in the Innovation and R&D fields.
Among the qualities the plan acknowledges in INDT is the production of knowledge embodied by scientific publications, technical reports, specifications for the standardization agencies and also the 23 patents created so far. The Nokia Foundation is also joining the Institute in the category, among other partners.
In addition to R&D, other areas were considered by the program: Education and Training; Cloud for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Sustainable Cities. The projects use technology as a tool to generate real impact on people and organizations’ lives. It is, therefore, a great reason to celebrate – and to share, of course!
